Members come from around the Bay Area and work in a variety of media including painting, photography, sculpture, and fiber art. All levels of artistic experience and expertise are welcomed--from novice or hobbyist to professional. We provide both formal and informal artistic support through rental studios, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and critique group.

Our History

Indian Valley Artists was founded in 1991 by eleven artists from College of Marin's Indian Valley Campus whose vision was to provide a supportive structure for artists' growth while incorporating a strong element of community service. This remains our focus today.

In 2008, the membership voted to change the name to the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art and the artists members became the Artists of MarinMOCA. We have grown significantly since our inception in membership and reputation. We're proud to be known as Marin's community-focused artists' association and we're especially pleased to have a permanent home at Hamilton.
