Sandi Miot Sandi Miot is an artist working primarily in the ancient medium of encaustics. Richly textured and saturated with deep pigments, her work combines new and unique techniques with her exceptional command of this venerable medium. Encaustic is the Classical Greek art of painting with hot, pigmented beeswax. Sandi incorporates the time honored mediums of encaustics and gold leaf. Her forms, while intrinsically abstract, are steeped in historic images and intellectual symbolism; a visual reference to her personal search for meaning and her feelings about life’s philosophies and choices. Her studio is #103 in the 500 Building at the Novato Arts Center. Website: www.sandimiot.com. Contact Sandi by email.
