Noel Ryan

Noel Ryan is a native San Franciscan and a graduate of San Francisco State University. Her many roles include wife, mother, teacher and communiity volunteer. It is through painting that her creative spirit is nurtured and sustained.

Noel discovered painting with watercolor to be a challenging media because it demands definiteness and, at the same time, fluidity. She endeavors to capture the subtleties of light and shade. Noel encounters pleasure in investigating nature and the enviorment, observing its form and hue, and interpreting her impressions with clear, crisp, lucid lines and color. She paints to stimulate and enrich the viewers with her art.
